MY APPROACH

MY APPROACH

My approach to therapy is interactive and collaborative. I have extensive experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT). I use an interpersonal approach and collaborative problem-solving to treat each client. I strongly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and empowering clients to make positive changes. I tailor all client treatments to fit their specific needs and challenges. My goal is to create a warm and non-judgmental atmosphere while encouraging effective change.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

I am well-trained and certified in a variety of cognitive behavioral approaches. Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT) are used to help treat depression, anxiety, and a variety of other mental health issues. CBT is based on the idea that behaviors, thoughts, and feelings influence each other and, as a result, can maintain psychological distress or interference. The therapist assists the client in identifying, testing the reality of, and correcting dysfunctional beliefs underlying his or her thinking. The emphasis of CBT is on solving problems and creating behavioral changes.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT)

I am certified and specialize in providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for people who struggle to cope effectively with intense and unstable emotions. DBT helps find the middle ground between extremes and opposites and increases skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, relationships, communication, and tolerating intense emotions.
