“Stop worrying about what could go wrong, and start being excited about what could go right.”

The teenage years are full of changes. Your bodies transform, hormones surge, and the school pressure builds. So, it is not surprising that you might be experiencing feelings of anxiety, sadness, loneliness, and hopelessness. But you should not have to navigate all of these feelings alone. I will provide a safe and confidential environment so you can confront your issues and move forward. One of my very first goals is to help you feel empowered and to start on a positive path of self-acceptance.

YOUNG WOMEN (20-30’s): INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

YOUNG WOMEN (20-30’s): INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

It’s tough being a young woman. Your life choices, career paths, and personal relationships can all become sources of stress. If you are looking for guidance and support through this challenging time, then you have come to the right place. I offer a non-judgmental and safe place where you can learn to identify your stressors and how to overcome them with different coping strategies. Together, we will confront your issues and learn to make healthier decisions moving forward.

I am available to help create and review resumes, prepare for job interviews, and help you think “outside of the box” when deciding on a job that best fits you.

PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM: INDIVIDUAL & GROUP THERAPY

PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM: INDIVIDUAL & GROUP THERAPY

Individual Therapy

Are you spending your days and nights wondering what your child’s future will look like? Will he/she be able to hold a conversation, make eye contact, connect with peers, make a real friend, get a job that he/she deserves, fall in love, live on their own, and the list goes on. It is not easy raising a child with autism, and it can become emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausting. It’s important that you, as the caregiver, get the support and self-care you need in order to be the best for your child. Together, we can discuss your concerns and address them. Learn how to advocate for your child in all life settings and make sure they get all the services available to them. Most importantly, learning how to find time for your own self-care and therapy is a great start.

“Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow!”
~ Mary Anne Radmacher

Group Therapy

Group Therapy

I spent years as a mother of a child with autism trying to find a support group in my area of parents who truly understood what I go through every day. Unfortunately, no luck. Now that I have more life experience and practice wisdom, I decided to use my social work skills and support the other “superheroes” in the world. As a group, parents will share their daily struggles and long-term worries. Parents will learn different types of parenting skills that work and how to implement them correctly. Together, parents will research different support services that are available to their children and how to attain them. Parents will leave each session knowing they are not alone anymore.
